From the Civil ceremony at your chosen
location to the religious marriage and wedding reception we are happy to guide
you through it all to ensure that your ceremony and celebratory reception which
heralds the start of your vacation go off with a real bang, of course that will
probably be the sound of the champagne going off at your reception!
Below is a list of possible places where
you can hold your your engagment (party), ceremony, religious wedding and/or
rereception or an important anniversary or vow renewal. I hope it gives you
some simple ideas to think about.
So, for example, you may choose to
stagger your wedding, having your civil ceremony on the beach, or in front of a
local chapel. Followed by a more religious service later on at a chosen location.
then to celebrate at a different location with the backdrop of your choice. As
ever, there is a wide range of choices to choose from and we are happy to
listen to what you want and to tailor your package according to your style and
tastes.
Beach Weddings, Always fun and full of the oppurtunity to dance on the beach
afterwards! e.g., Elafonissi, Matala, the list is endless, there are beautiful
beaches everywhere here on Crete and your greatest difficulty will be choosing
which one you like the most.
Chapel Weddings, there is a lovely Anglican chapel close to chania or a Roman
Catholic one in the old town of Chania or you may like an Orthodox ceremony in
any one of the numerous small chapels around the island. Alternatively, it may
be possible to hold the civil ceremony outside a small chapel of your choice. 
Lake weddings, there is the possability to hold your service
next to one of Crete's two lakes in Zaros or Kournas. They both have tavernas
next to them! It would be fun to say your vows in the heart of nature and to
then swim about before holding your reception. Or of course you may have your
own ideas for us to consider.
Historic city weddings, If you like the
idea of wondering through historic streets full of atmosphere and to imagine
Crete during her Venetian days then why not choose to hold your service in
Chania or Rethimnon which are arguably the most beautiful cities on Crete.
There are chapels, beaches, and other possabilities available.
Beautiful scenic view weddings, If you want to dress up as a medieval knight
marrying his lady (please bring your own costume in this case) why not get
married at Aptera (Chania) an old
Venetian watchtower fort overklooking Chania Bay. Or you may choose to have
Ancient Greece bear witness to your nuptials by getting married at Phaestos, an
Ancient Minoan and Roman city in Southern Crete overlooking green valleys. 
Anglican Weddings, Chania city is the primary location of the
Anglican Church on Crete, although the priest is happy to travel to you. So,
choose your most romantic setting for a private ceremony, from your hotel,
villa or chapel and we can set it up!
Catholic Weddings, Heraklion and Rethimnon City are the primary
areas for the Roman Catholic church on Crete, and again the priest is happy to
travel to you to perform your marriage in a quiet romantic setting.
Orthodox weddings, well, if you are Orthodox, thenCrete is your
oyster, or island! You have the freedom to be married in any Orthodox Church of
your choice. So, the biggest problem the two of you will have is argueing over
which location is the most beautiful!
Engagment, Anniversary & Vow Renewals, If you wish to propose to the love of your life
and require somewhere romantic to pop the not so unexpected question why not on
thew beach at Bali or the beach at Matala, or beside a lake, a castle, or at a
place of your choosing! If you would like to surprise your wife perhaps, as
John well knows, it's good to say your sorry through a surprise, like
celebrating your anniversary with a surprise reception! It does work! Or perhaps you would both like to reaffim your vows to remember in front of friends and family who were not present the
first time. As ever, the romantic
setting is
yours to choose!
Hotel weddings, it is possible in some hotels around the island to hold the weding
inside the hotel facilities, we will be happy to offer suggestions.
